New grant for employing over 50's more info
Mature Workforce was formed to offer job seekers of 50 years and over the opportunity to list their experience and preferred job requirements on an over 50’s friendly website. The goal of mature workforce is to provide these job seekers with a high quality yet cost effective way to advertise their expertise to potential employers. The very nature of our website will ensure that employers accessing this site appreciate the value mature age employees can contribute to many businesses through their working experience and the life skills gained over many years.
Times are tough for many businesses and MWF see benefits in providing this service to employers for no cost and charging the job seeker a minimal fee for listing their experience.
Most jobs are gained through networks and MWF strives to provide a network of job seekers over 50 who have gained experience and qualifications in one or several fields who wish to continue working for many years to come.
Employers are encouraged to recognise that there exists a huge resource in the over 50’s. The over 50’s job seekers want to work and are often more flexible in delivering their expertise. For example many over 50’s are happy to start out on a part time basis or as a consultant.
The Federal Government recognises the valuable resource of the over 50’s. Treasurer Wayne Swan said earlier this year “We all benefit from the immense value that older Australians add to our workplaces and the economy, not just in terms of skills and work experience, but also life experience”.
If you are an employer, don’t waste this useful resource of job seekers. Mature Workforce has a vision to match as many possible job seekers over 50 years of age with as many like minded employers as possible.
